What has been your greatest career achievement thus far?
Becoming a permanent 1.0 teacher at Walkerton District Community School has been my greatest achievement to date.
How has your education in Bluewater prepared you for your career pathway?
Connections made within the community and with my teachers from the past have provided many benefits. Some examples include mentor teachers, familiarity with buildings, and connections to parents and families from my time growing up in the area.
I spent nearly six years working as a supply teacher throughout the board, forming bonds and connections with several different staff and students in the many schools I had the opportunity to work in. Supply teaching provided me with different experiences in all grade levels, ultimately leading up to my current position in Elementary Student Success.
